dear friends, and welcome to Resurrection Lutheran Church!
We
are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
witnessing to life in the heart of
Roxbury! We believe that this is a
witness worth sharing with you!
As
you look through our website, you will see that at Resurrection
Lutheran Church
we worship, we serve, and we live.
Our worship many members who enrich
our worship through reading, serving as ushers, or assisting in other
ways. life is rich in tradition,
yet open to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our multi-cultural music,
our
high liturgy, and our inclusive spirit. Our preaching is based on
the teachings found in the Holy Bible, and we
offer an opportunity to study each week’s scripture readings before
worship on
Sunday mornings. We are blessed with
gifted worship assistants and with the participation of One thing
that is always true is
the feeling of Christian welcome new-comers experience the moment they
walk in
the door. We are all truly brothers and
sisters in Christ!
Our service life is forever inspired by
the changing needs of our community. Twice
a month, we have a food pantry to provide physical sustenance to
any and all in need. We host a family
resource center within our building, and have within our membership
many who
dedicate their own volunteer and work lives to serving others. We are blessed with the heart and will to do
good works that spring from our deep faith in a God of mercy and love.
Our life
at Resurrection Lutheran Church
is a life of joy in the risen Christ. If
you are going through a rough time in your life, we have among us those
who
have been exactly where you are now. If
you are feeling lost and without meaning in your life, we have among us
those
who have been exactly where you are now. We
are called Resurrection
because we know that out of any circumstance, God can and does bring
new life!
